Lampway is operated by Zeno One LLC, a California limited liability company (“Zeno One,” “we,” “us”). These Terms of Service are a legal agreement between you and Zeno One about the Lampway app, website, and related services (together, “Lampway”). You can reach us at support@onelampway.com.
By creating a Circle, completing onboarding, signing in, or otherwise using the app, you agree to these Terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use Lampway; please read it. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use Lampway. If you are setting up a Circle that includes children under 13, you represent that you are the parent or legal guardian of each child whose information you add, and that you have authority to accept these Terms on their behalf. If you let a teen in your care use Lampway, you accept these Terms on their behalf as well.
A parent or legal guardian who adds a child to a Circle, or lets a child or teen use Lampway on their device or account, is responsible for supervising that use, for what is entered by or about the child, and for deciding whether Lampway’s content and features suit that child. Lampway chooses content by age to help parents; that is not a guarantee that every passage, answer, or feature suits a particular child. Enter each reader’s birthday accurately: age-appropriate content and the age-based protections in the Privacy Policy, such as keeping a younger child’s questions away from the answer provider, depend on it.
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details, admin PIN, and join code private, and for activity in your account and in Circles you own or manage. Anyone with your join code can join your Circle and see what it shares (Privacy Policy, Section 6). Tell us promptly at support@onelampway.com if you think your account or code has been misused. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for loss caused by someone using your code or sign-in details after they were shared or not kept private.

You may not:
If something in your Circle breaks these rules, use the “Report a problem” flag button (⚑) in the app, use Settings → Support → Send feedback, or write to support@onelampway.com. We may remove content or suspend a Circle that violates these Terms (Section 16).
Reflections, journal entries, prayer requests, gratitude notes, and discussion responses you enter belong to you. Depending on the feature, we store them in your Circle or in your separate private Solo archive so they sync across your devices; we don’t train models on them, sell them, or share them outside their intended private scope, except as the Privacy Policy describes, such as with the service providers that run the features you use, when the law requires it or to protect someone’s safety, or as part of a merger or sale of Lampway. If you delete your Circle, it is removed from the app right away and kept in a restricted trash archive for up to 180 days in case the deletion was a mistake, then deleted; backups follow their normal retention cycle (Privacy Policy, Section 7).
Permission to run Lampway. You give Zeno One a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, transmit, process, and display your content only as needed to operate, secure, and support the features you use, as the Privacy Policy describes, including through the service providers named there. This license ends when your content is deleted from our systems as the Privacy Policy describes, except for copies that remain in backups until those backups are deleted.
Optional training contribution. A separate “Help improve Ask with my searches” consent lets an eligible adult contribute filtered general question text, shown verse references, fit marks, and answer status to improve and train a Lampway model. This does not authorize training on your reflections, memories, private archive, recordings, Scripture, or AI-written answers. You must confirm that you are 18 or older. The feature is unavailable on child or teen reader profiles, in the EU/EEA, UK and Washington, or when region or adult status cannot be verified. Region is estimated from your network connection and can be wrong. Do not include names or identifying information. Automatic filters are designed to refuse first-person and other personal wording, harm or safety questions, and medical decisions, and to remove identifying details, but they may miss some. Collection is not monitored and is not an emergency channel. Turning it off, freezing or deleting the private archive, or deleting the account stops future collection. Kept questions have no account lookup and cannot be individually deleted early; daily cleanup expires them after 30 days and rescans them under current refusal rules. See the Privacy Policy for the collection, deletion, and daily-key details.
Private Solo archive deletion is separate from Circle deletion. When you request deletion of your private Solo archive, it becomes unavailable in the app and you have a 30-day recovery period in which to restore access. If you do not restore it, its active-database copy is deleted after 45 days. Cleanup runs daily, so actual deletion may occur near day 46. This process does not delete any Circle or shared Circle records. Backups follow their normal retention cycle and are not selectively purged for one account; deleted data leaves our systems when the snapshot holding it is deleted. Our intended schedule keeps a yearly snapshot for up to five years, but that schedule is not yet enforced automatically, so a copy can remain longer. See the Privacy Policy, Section 7.
If you use optional recording or Ask features, you are responsible for making sure the content you submit is lawful and appropriate for your Circle. Do not record anyone who has not agreed to it. You are responsible for complying with the recording laws where you and the people you record are. Do not submit content you do not have permission to share with your Circle or process through the app. You are responsible for the content you enter into Lampway, including content you enter for children in your care. We do not review content in private Circles before it is saved, and we are not responsible for content that users enter.
Feedback. If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them without any obligation to you.
The app itself—its design, code, curriculum structure, quiz content, summaries, discussion prompts, and artwork—is our property or licensed to us. You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use it for devotional purposes. You do not get the right to copy, republish, modify, or create derivative works from our non-Scripture content. We reserve all rights not expressly granted in these Terms. This license ends if your access ends under Section 16.
Lampway’s summaries, quiz questions, discussion prompts, and other study material are written to help you read. They are not Scripture and are not a substitute for your own reading of the Bible or for the guidance of your church.
Ask Lampway, Pull this together, and Memory Helper use AI models run by third-party providers (Privacy Policy, Section 5) to write answers, summaries, and memory drafts from the sources shown on screen or the material you provide. Text written by AI:
Scripture text in Lampway is shown word-for-word from the KJV or WEB; check what an answer says against that text. Memory Helper drafts are suggestions, and nothing is saved until you approve it; you are responsible for what you approve and share. Use the “Report this answer” control on any answer that is wrong or offensive. We may limit, change, or turn off AI features, and change the providers we use.
Lampway is not an emergency or crisis service, and it does not monitor what you type. If you or someone else may be in danger, call your local emergency number now; in the U.S. or Canada you can call or text 988 for immediate crisis support. When a question reads as a crisis — self-harm, suicide, abuse, or an overdose — Lampway shows a fixed safety message and, for adults, a set of Bible verses chosen in advance, instead of a generated answer. Lampway’s crisis rules work from a question’s wording and cannot recognize every crisis. Nobody at Lampway is alerted, and the app cannot send help.
Lampway may offer free access, beta or early-access programs, complimentary access, and paid subscription plans. Paid plans may include features such as full-waymark access, Memory Helper, Family Audio, Ask Lampway, saved searches, member submissions, and export features, subject to the plan limits shown in the app.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled through the store or billing provider where you purchased them. You can manage, cancel, or restore eligible purchases through your Apple App Store, Google Play, RevenueCat-supported store flow, or the in-app restore path where available. Canceling stops future renewal; it does not automatically refund past charges.
Your purchase is also governed by the terms of the store that sold it (Google Play or the Apple App Store). Prices are shown in the store before you buy. If we change a subscription price, the store will notify you before the new price applies to a renewal, and you can cancel before then. Introductory or founding prices apply once per account, for the period shown at purchase; after that period the standard price renews unless you cancel. Foundations (Waymarks 1–5) is free and is not a trial — nothing converts to a paid plan on its own.
Refunds are handled by the store or payment provider that processed the purchase, unless applicable law requires otherwise. Apple and Google purchases must be requested through Apple or Google. Any direct-web purchase refund path will be shown before purchase.
Beta and complimentary access are not purchases, are not transferable, may expire, and may be changed or ended as those programs change. We will not charge you retroactively for anything that was free or comped when you used it. Founding, lifetime, or complimentary access means access for as long as Zeno One operates that feature of Lampway. It is not a promise that the app or the feature will exist forever, and it is not transferable or refundable.
If billing, entitlement, or store validation is unavailable, paid-only features fail closed: purchase, restore, or paid access will be unavailable until the entitlement can be verified. We do not owe access to paid features that cannot be verified.
Nothing in this section limits refund or cancellation rights you have under the law where you live (Section 20).
We provide the app on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee the app will always be available, free of bugs, or compatible with every device. We may change features, add new ones, or retire old ones. We aim to give reasonable notice for changes that would meaningfully affect how you use the app, but we don’t guarantee advance notice for every change. If we stop offering Lampway altogether, we will try to give reasonable notice first. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable to you for changing, suspending, or ending Lampway or any feature. Lampway is not a backup service; keep your own copies of anything important to you.
If we stop offering Lampway, or a paid feature included in your subscription, before the end of a period you have already paid for, and not because you broke these Terms, you can ask the store that sold the subscription for a refund of the unused part, and we will support that request where the store lets us. Where the law gives you a right to a refund or a price reduction, that right applies (Section 20).
Lampway relies on third-party services, including Apple, Google, RevenueCat, and the hosting, storage, transcription, and AI providers named in the Privacy Policy. Your use of an app store, its payment system, and your device is governed by those companies’ own terms, and you must follow any third-party terms that apply when you use Lampway, such as your mobile data plan. We are not responsible for services, websites, or content we do not control, and a link to one is not an endorsement.
If you downloaded Lampway from the Apple App Store, these terms also apply, and they control if they conflict with anything else in these Terms:
You may stop using the app at any time. You may delete a Circle, request deletion of your separate private Solo archive, delete your account in Settings, or contact us through the Privacy Policy’s Section 10 process. If you have a subscription, cancel it through the store; deleting the app or your account does not by itself cancel a store subscription.
We may suspend or end your access, suspend or remove a Circle, or remove content, if you or members of a Circle you own break these Terms (for example, by using a Circle to harass others or to abuse security controls), if it is needed to protect other people or Lampway, or if the law requires it. If we end access for cause, we will make a reasonable effort to tell you why, unless the law or someone’s safety prevents it.
Parts of these Terms that by their nature should continue after your access ends do continue, including the parts of Section 7 about backups and feedback, Section 8, and Sections 17 through 22.
Please read this section carefully. It limits our responsibility.
Lampway is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, Zeno One disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement, and any warranties arising from a course of dealing or usage of trade. We do not warrant that Lampway will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free; that any content, including answers and drafts written by AI, study material, narration, transcripts, and search results, will be accurate, complete, or suitable for you or your children; or that data will never be lost.
The app is a devotional tool. It is not pastoral care, counseling, or medical, mental-health, legal, or financial advice, and nothing in it — including answers from Ask Lampway or Pull this together — should be treated as any of those. Some places do not allow certain warranties to be disclaimed, so parts of this section may not apply to you (Section 20).
Please read this section carefully. It limits our responsibility.
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
These limits do not apply to liability that the law does not allow to be limited, such as liability for fraud, gross negligence, or willful misconduct, for our own violation of law, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence where the law does not allow that liability to be limited. See Section 20.
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Zeno One and its members, managers, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) that arise out of any of the following: your breach of these Terms; your misuse of Lampway; content you submit, including content you enter for children in your care; recordings you make; or your violation of any law or of anyone else’s rights.
This does not apply to the extent a claim is caused by our own breach of these Terms or our own negligence.
Nothing in these Terms takes away rights you have under laws that cannot be waived or limited by contract, including the consumer-protection laws where you live. If you are a consumer in the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, including your statutory rights about digital content and services, and you may bring proceedings in the courts there. Where a part of these Terms is not allowed by the law that applies to you, it applies only to the extent that law allows.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where Section 20 gives you the protection of the laws where you live.
Try to resolve it with us first. Before either of us starts a court case, the one with the dispute sends the other a written notice: you by email to support@onelampway.com, and we by email to the address on your account or the recovery email you provided. The notice gives a name and a way to reply, a description of the dispute, and what is being asked for. We both agree to try in good faith to resolve the dispute informally for 60 days after the notice is received, and any deadline for bringing the claim is paused during those 60 days. This does not stop either of us from asking a court for urgent relief to stop ongoing harm, or from bringing a claim in small-claims court if it qualifies.
For disputes that cannot be resolved informally, you and we agree to resolve them in the state or federal courts located in California, except where applicable consumer-protection law gives you the right to your home-jurisdiction courts.
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the app or the law. If changes are material (for example, introducing paid features, expanding data collection, or changing dispute-resolution terms), we will tell you in the app or by email as Section 22 describes before they take effect, and give you a reasonable opportunity to review them. Continued use after the effective date of the updated Terms means you accept them. Changes do not apply to a dispute that arose before they took effect. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, stop using Lampway and, if you have a subscription, cancel it through the store before it renews.
